Our copy protection modules are designed for engine control units. By applying those modules unauthorized retrieval of the characteristic curve diagrams is prevented. OBD / OBDS modules
New copy protection modules for implementation in engine control units. This latest generation of copy protection modules prevents the readout via the On-Board-Diagnose (OBD) interface.
With the shape of the TSOP48 case, we keep the installation height as low as possible. You find suitable memory chips in our components section. Alternatively, the series OBD and OBDS can be equipped with a mounting base. The applied components meet industrial standards and operate at temperatures between – 40 C and + 85 C
The modules are classified in two groups:
- OBD series: prevents the readout via the OBD interface
- OBDS series: toggle module for two data sets with OBD protection
Supported are engine control units of the EDC15 series as well as the complete ME7xx series inclusive ME7.8.1 (Porsche 997 turbo). The support of further control units is currently under development and will follow.
OBD-800
For vehicles operating with 29F200 to 29F800 flash memory. The memory content to be protected will be coded with the GrauTec Encoder and implemented together with OBD-800 engine control unit.
Flash socket
All modules can be ordered (for additional charge) with a flash socket. With this socket it is possible to exchange the flash without soldering. Alternatively, the flash can also be soldered.
OBDS
Toggle modules for two data sets with OBD protection.
OBDS-800
For vehicles operating with a 29F200 to 29F800 flash memory.
The required two data sets can be combined with the free GrauTec Combiner and subsequently coded with the GrauTec Encoder.
Flash socket for OBDS models
Also the modules of the OBDS series can be ordered (for additional charge) with a flash socket. With this socket it is possible to exchange the flash without soldering. Alternatively, the flash can also be soldered.
